How I Coach
As you may know by now, coaching is a professional service, much like that of a consultant or advisor. What makes my style of coaching different from others is that I concentrate on dynamic activities and encourage a holistic approach toward making significant changes. I think of myself as a transitional facilitator.
If I could identify one concept that drives me in my work, it would be recreation. Yes, re-creation. It's a term that can be traced back to the 1300's. It meant "restoration of the self or spirit" and, to me, it still means that.
As you can see by the images on my site, I am big on being active in the out-of-doors. By making 're-creation' a way of life, I believe one can engage in a continual restoration of the spirit. Substitute "raison d'etre" or "prime motivating force within," if you will. It is a concept that can work for anyone who desires balance and fulfillment in anything they choose to do.
After an introductory session of 30-40 minutes, we'll both be able to determine if we are a good fit. If so, I will ask for your commitment to a program, tailor-made for you, consisting of activities and exercises. You will learn how to create a sense of urgency to build and maintain momentum designed to advance you toward your goal.
"What ever you can do, or dream you can... begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it." -Goethe
I will nudge you out of your comfort zone. I will continually support you in your commitment in whatever transition, project, business, or recreational activity you have chosen to engage in. Many of the individuals I work with are interested involving themselves in the arts or in refining their abilities in the business world.
Some of the many 'hats' I have worn are that of a film director and producer, designer/builder, musician and music producer, writer, and business person. I have done product development, marketing, advertising, and small business start-ups. I will put my experience to work in your favor to materialize the dream or idea that is burning within.
Are you ready?
